Last weekend was celebrated the Eurosteampunk Convention in various european cities. This picture of me was taken in La Estació del Nord, in Barcelona, a modernist old train station that now only function as a bus station, fortunately for us in its original design.
At first I was seduced by the idea to wear an outfit distanced from the victorian style and more close to folkloric clothes, that peasant people of the rest of Europe would wear that time. So, I made I little reseach through east mediterranean and balkan folklore dress, you know, something similar but not the same folkloric and regional dresses we have in Spain (forget it the flamenca style, that’s only andalusian and not for the rest of Spain).
So Serbia’s folkloric dress was the elected and latter “steampunked”.
